Dr. Sturm received his Bachelor of Science degree from Fairleigh Dickinson University in Madison, New Jersey in 1987.  He continued on to Boston University School of Dental Medicine and received his Doctorate of Dental Medicine in 1991.  After practicing general dentistry in New Jersey for 6 years, he attended USC, where he completed a residency in endodontics.  He previously had been affiliated with USC as an Adjunct Assistant Professor of Clinical Dentistry for the endodontic department, and as a guest lecturer on endodontic emergencies, diagnosis and treatment planning. He is a member of the American Association of Endodontist and is a fellow of the International Congress of Oral Implantologists.  Dr. Sturm lives in Santa Barbara, with his wife Michelle, daughter Emma and son Jacob.

Michelle has lived in Santa Barbara since 2001.   After graduation from UCLA, Michelle continued her education, attending the prestigous dental hygiene program at the University of Southern California.  Michelle still practices dental hygiene, however her main focus is practice manager for Dr. Sturm in his Microsurgical Endodontics office.   Michelle's hobbies include tennis and pickleball.  She also likes to travel and try different cuisines during her adventures.  Michelle is married, has two children, and a loveable Cavapoochon named Bear. 

Christine, born and raised in Santa Barbara, has been with our office since 2022. After completing her dental assisting program, Christine began to gain experience in general dentistry. Once discovering an interest in specialized cases, she transitioned seamlessly into endodontics. Her enthusiasm for learning and attentive nature allows our patients a calm and comfortable experience. Christine plans to pursue her license in Dental Hygiene after completing her prerequisite courses. She enjoys spending her free time with family and friends, finding new hiking trails to spend quality time exploring.

Jillian  was born and raised in beautiful Santa Barbara. She has been in the dental field for over 7 years, always motived and eager to help with anything that comes her way. 

Maria has lived most of her life in beautiful Santa Barbara, where her love for the outdoors and nature photography thrives.  In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her Husky, whether it's relaxing at the beach or exploring new trails along the coast. With over 10 years of experience in the dental field,  Maria is passionate about helping others feel confident with their smiles.  Known for her calm demeanor and attention to detail, she brings both compassion and professionalism to every patient interaction.
